@MarkHerhold just an FYI due to the version of check-types you are using subclassed Errors are not being correctly identifed.

check-types is now on version 5.1.0.

I may raise a PR fixing this in the next couple of days, unless ofcource you beat me to it.

Nice module btw - only just discovered Bristol and the first thing I wanted was colored output and this module works great.

logger.error('Hah!', new Error())

This outputs the error + it's stack twice.

Hey,

I love to use palin for console output. It's nicely formatted, and expands stack traces from errors. I'd love to use that same feature set for files, because the default formatters "swallow" the stack traces from nested errors.

However, as chalk ist always enabled, the logfile has many control characters in it, which isn't nice to read. If chalk could be disabled by palin configuration, it would be also useful to write to files.
