It could be nice to have a gallery containing screenshots of custom startpages made with That Startpage Rocks.

Here will be a list of the search plugins that would be pretty cool to have.

(Search plugins (couldn't find another name..) are the plugins that the search engine uses to return results. Each plugin represents a website, like Youtube, Spotify, etc..)

The problem with Swedish letter was solved in one of the other issues. But when downloading to startpage.zip Swedish letters Åå Ää Öö is "messed up" and does not show correctly when using the resulting index.html file.

I would prefer to use google.com instead of google.ch that is default today for search. That will give me more possible local search options if I would like to further refine my search after the initial search from my start page.

I would like the possibility, when adding new bookmark, to select if the bookmark should open in new tab or not.

The report must have as much information as possible, it must be clear and to the point.

Currently, the search engine of the search box defaults to google. It would be very useful to be able to set your own search engine for the normal search.

That startpage really rocks. My startpage was almost done and looked really good when I ran into problems. First the minor problems

I added two icons for two of my bookmarks. It did not look good together with the other icons so I uploaded two new ones instead. I would have thought when uploading new icons for already existing web sites that the new icons would replace the old ones. But now instead I have two icons linked to the same web site. And when trying to bookmark I only get the old ones. So I would like either the possibility to select what icons to use or that uploaded icons should replace old icons if the web site alredy exist.

Since I am from Sweden I will use swedish letters wich will include Åå, Ää and Öö. When trying to enter these letters for a bookmark and update the application will crash (see error message below which is the same as for my major problem).

Finally the major problem. I tested to blank out the title of the startpage to see if that would make my startpage look better. After that the application crashes and I can no longer edit my startpage. Most of the links to my icons is now also broken and will not show.

The error message is

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application."

For reference the link to my startpage is http://that.startpage.rocks/5101770862755840 and it is the tv4play and tv3play icons I have a problem with once the major problem is solved.

The idea is that the user can download a zip file, extract it somewhere and use the html file as the startpage. There will be a few disadvantages to using the startpage locally, for example the bookmarks will not be updated. But the advantage is that it'll be faster because the html, css and js will already be stored locally, so no need to download them. And the css will be fully controllable by the user, so will let the user do whatever he/she wants.

how will it work ?

Dunno if it is feasable, but it would be nice to generate a .zip file based on a template. Then it would generate html depending on the user's settings, and add the beackground image of the startpage to the zip file. The .zip file would be then returned (maybe a way to sign it and give the option to verify ?), along with instructions to use it as a startpage.
