LaSi is short for: Lazy admin Scripted Installers. Aim is to create 'easy' walkthrough-installers written in Bash for programs that are not inside official *nix-repo's, but for example only on Github or Googlecode. Main focus is headless servers, right now it supports debian-based systems, freeBSD-deratives (thx to Kriss1981) and bootstrapped Synology NAS devices (thx to Jeroenve)).

lasi's Issues

LaSi on Freebsd

I am running FreeBSD 9.0-STABLE and I have installed SABnzbd and Sickbeard. Both will start and stop with the init script. But, when installing Couchpotato or Headphones, I get an error when trying to start program using the init script.

headphones already running? (pid=4103).
couchpotato already running? (pid=4103).

ps aux | grep python
_sabnzbd 4104 0.4 0.5 207420 45008 ?? S 7:42PM 0:10.79 python /usr/local/sickbeard/SickBeard.py --qu
_sabnzbd 4103 0.0 0.0 11992 1028 ?? Is 7:42PM 0:00.00 daemon: python4104
_sabnzbd 4164 0.0 0.5 217736 41628 ?? I 7:45PM 0:07.28 /usr/local/bin/python2.7 -OO /usr/local/bin/S
root 4383 0.0 0.0 16232 1140 2 S+ 8:02PM 0:00.01 grep python

But, I can start each with:

sudo -u _sabnzbd /usr/sbin/daemon -f -p /usr/local/headphones/headphones.pid python /usr/local/headphones/Headphones.py --quiet
sudo -u _sabnzbd /usr/sbin/daemon -f -p /usr/local/couchpotato/couchpotato.pid python /usr/local/couchpotato/CouchPotato.py --quiet

The init scripts worked on 9.0-RELEASE, but not on 9.0-STABLE. I do not know how to fix.

Thank you

Cannot run CouchPotato and Sickbeard both together

Hi all,

the issue that I'm having is similar to:

#31

If I try to launch couchpotato when sickbeard is already running i get:

[root@fs1 /usr/local/etc/rc.d]# ./couchpotato start
couchpotato already running? (pid=2752).
[root@fs1 /usr/local/etc/rc.d]# ps ax
...
2752 ?? Is 0:00.00 daemon: python2753
2753 ?? S 0:06.23 python /usr/local/sickbeard/SickBeard.py --quiet --nolaunch
...

and like in issue #31 if I launch it by:

[root@fs1 /usr/local/etc/rc.d]# sudo -u share /usr/sbin/daemon -f -p /usr/local/couchpotato/couchpotato.pid python /usr/local/couchpotato/CouchPotato.py --quiet

then everything works :(

I've installed through LaSi:

Maraschino
CouchPotato
Sickbeard
SABnzbd
Transmission

I'm running LaSi in a clean install ZFSGuru 0.2-beta7 which is based on FreeBSD 9.1-RC1

Cheers,

Dit i.v.m. open_basedir restrictie.

Verwijder programma

Goede avond,

Update LaSi so Subliminal latest version is used

Just ran LaSi and "reinstalled" Subliminal (tried to install it while it already was installed) and it states that Subliminal is version 6.2 but in 6.3 there are some bugfixes for blocking issues (with a new install of Subliminal you couldn't search for subs, it was broken).

However, LaSi is not using the latest version (I think it's a dev-branch or something).

Can you please update LaSi so it gives the possibility to install the dev-version or use that one as "main" version?

Script doesn't handle user creation correctly.

Testing this out with an install of SickBeard and Headphones for a start. Both couldn't start because the sickbeard and headphones user wasn't created by the script.

  • Starting Headphones ...

installing spotweb

Hi mar2zz,

is it possible to make installing apache/mysql/php5 optional when you want to install spotweb.
i already have a webserver installed but still apache gets installed. also maybe making an option about asking where to install spotweb would be nice to? my for instance my webroot is not located in /var/www but somewhere else but spotweb still gets installed to the /var/www dir.

btw great job on the script makes installing everything nice and easy :)

LaSi/SpotWeb on Pogoplug (Optware)

I'm not very skilled at this, but I managed to install Samba, nzbget and SABnzbd on my Pogoplug and even I understood most of how I did that :)

When trying to install SpotWeb using LaSi I am running into trouble, though. First of all, LaSi doesn't run well / directly on the pogoplug with Optware, I've had to manually download the script LaSi_syn.sh (I hope that's the correct script). Running the script LaSi_syn.sh, I chose to install SpotWeb. It downloaded several packages, but couldn't install them because '/volume1/' couldn't be created: Read-only file system. Now, I now how to remount '/' for rw-access, but I have my doubts about that. I want Spotweb to be installed on the drive where Optware is installed, not in the root of the device.

Anyway, here's the screenshot from my second attempt (packages were already downloaded on 1st attempt and not shown here):

Will Spotweb run at all on the Pogoplug/Optware? should I remount / for rw-access and try again?
I know that the Pogoplug isn't a Synology device, but I'm hoping Spotweb can be made to run on it anyway.

Thanks for any help!

Sickbeard should start with --nolauch parameter

Was doing some coding for maraschino and realised SB shutdown and restart commands would not work. After some debugging I realised a text-based web browser was launching itself with SB on a Xubuntu installation. This --nolauch parameter prevents any browser from opening and allows SB to operate normally at all times. I would think it would be good to have this parameter optional in the /ect/default/sickbeard file, or just on at all times to ensure it acts 100% as a daemon.

MBcache

Hello,

Just install your script and got some strange issue :

I juste add a "whoami" in the original script to verify :

PROCESSING FILES

echo "--------------------------"
echo $(date)
echo "Starting renamealbum for $NZB"
whoami
/usr/bin/python /usr/bin/renamealbum -R --no-embed-coverart "$DIR"

echo $(date)
echo "Album search ended for $NZB"
}

As you can see, it display my real login name, but try to use the root .mbcache.

The sabnzbd process run with my own account.
the /etc/passwd is correct and the ~ links to the /home/pyrosfr folder

I can't understand this issue

Periscope install scripts error

Hi, I've just installed Periscope with your LaSi.sh script, and when I try to manually run it python is giving me this kind of errors :

OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'INSTALLDIR/cache'
INFO:periscope:Creating folder INSTALLDIR/cache
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/download-user/periscope/downloadSub.py", line 13, in
subdl = periscope.Periscope(cache_folder="INSTALLDIR/cache")
File "/home/download-user/periscope/periscope.py", line 56, in init
os.mkdir(folder)
OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'INSTALLDIR/cache'
INFO:periscope:Creating folder INSTALLDIR/cache
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/download-user/periscope/downloadSub.py", line 13, in
subdl = periscope.Periscope(cache_folder="INSTALLDIR/cache")
File "/home/download-user/periscope/periscope.py", line 56, in init
os.mkdir(folder)
OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'INSTALLDIR/cache'

To me it seems like an error in your lasi/periscopeinstall.sh, cuz INSTALLDIR is a variable from your lasi/periscopeinstall.sh and after I edited downloadSub.py and changed INSTALLDIR to my installation directory, it worked!

BTW; This is on a Debian stable (squeeze) machine
