I believe the process is getting killed due to source maps. My debug steps:
- disabled/removed
productionDevtool: 'source-map',from batfish.config.js - the build succeeded on staging in 16 minutes (currently the repo takes 20-30 minutes). - tried
productionDevtool: 'cheap-source-map',- the build succeeded on staging, again in 16 minutes.
I'll report back or close after we merge into production.

The solution was adjusting the value of productionDevtool to a less resource-heavy source map. Android built successfully in 18 minutes on production. Closing!
