stumbler

There are three components to this project; the android application (called fake), the javascript webapp
that shows the map and route, and the web-server java application that bridges between then android app
and the webapp (this is called the fake-bridge).

The bridge (with entrypoint at au.com.sensis.whereis.fake.bridge.HttpAdbBridge.main) does two things;
a) it first executes the android tool 'adb', in order to port forward between the android device on port
<fake-port> (default 7100) and the host computer on port <adb-port> (default 6100).  The 'fake' android
app is configured to listen on port 7100 for remote commands.
b) it then runs an http server on port <http-port> (default 5100).  This server is a simple RESTish api
that supports a few commands, the most important being 'play', which takes values for latitude and longitude
and sends the json representation via adb to the device, where the listening fake app reads it and sets it
on the device with au.com.sensis.whereis.locationsimulator.service.location.synchronousSendLocation().

The javascript webapp allows users to view a map (from emsv2) and place route markers on it, interactively
and using geocoded street addresses. The routes may then be replayed (ie, sent via the fake-bridge to the
device on which fake is running).  At this point, any location aware app running on the device will behave
as though the device is at the faked location.  The fake system was originally developed to help with the
testing of the whereis android application, but all location aware apps (eg google maps) are fooled equally.

The webapp (routegen.html) uses the emsv2 javascript api and also jquery.  It supports route save and reload,
variable speed (simulated), route-replay pause, and variable replay-period.  It also has a 'no-GPS' feature
which simulates a missing GPS signal along a route segment.  This is meant to test how the app behaves when
the GPS signal is temporarily unavailable.

getting running
===============
1. connect android device via usb to linux host and enable usb-debugging and mock-locations
in the developer part of the settings.
2. run the faker run-configuration inside intellij. This will start the app on the device.
3. on the faker app on the device, press the 'remote' button, the status will be 'disconnected'
4. run the bridge run-configuration inside intellij. The status of faker app will go to 'connected'
5. on your browser on the linux host, goto http://localhost:5100/?ems_environment=prod
6. when the map appears, click the green 'load' button and load the 'twisty-turnie' file
7. zoom in a bit around malvern east / ashburton
8. click the orange 'replay' button and then 'start route'
9. on the device, open google maps (ensure the location is enabled) and observe
