New Backend Opportunity

Add a side navigation bar to enable login functionality , starring the news and save the news to user's favourite.

As the hackathon is over the API endpoint may stop working any time.
Integrate the official HackerNews API and fetch the data in JSON format and make plausible changes in the parameters before rendering using MustacheJS

Loading.. spinner

Make the loading spinner for the web app while the news is being fetched from the API.

$(window).scroll() not working

I tried a couple of methods but the scroll(), scrollTop() method are not firing on scrolling and hence go to top button cannnot be implemented.
