Security
It's not that important but it would be nice to use BLE security feature.
README.md video
Add video to README.md showing the working LED matrix with this driver.
Effects characteristic
Allow turning on some cool effects through separate characteristic. For example rainbow, matrix, breathe etc.
Size characteristic
The length characteristic is very limited. Software connecting to the driver has to ask user what's the size of the matrix, because it's length is not enough to deduce its width and height.
It would be better to provide size characteristic that would contain two bytes - one for width and one for height.
Color write delay
It would be nice to show the color immediately. If this is not possible, maybe with a small debounce around 60 ms.
Remember colors between reboots
It would allow to use the driver as a wall decoration and turn it off/on when needed.
