Some of "my" ideas. 

Bow and/or Crossbow:

Arrow Splash - creates a splash potion effect from arrows enchanted with potion effects. Can be used only with fully charged bow. Creates an effect even after hitting the ground. (Cannot be combined with Quick Draw, Triple Shot, Arrow Splash and Crossbow's: Quick Shot);

Barrage (I-III) - rapidly shots additionas 1-3 arrows. Can be used only with fully charged bow. Between each arrow we should have a few ticks to change a bit direction of next arrow. Level incrases number of aditional arrows. (Cannot be combined with Quick Draw, Chain, Arrow Splash and Crossbow's: Multishot, Quick Shot). Idea came from https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Barrage ;

Chain (I-III) - after arrow hit a target it looks in close range for another target. Can be used only with fully charged bow. Level inrecase the range and number of targets. (Cannot be combined with Quick Draw, Triple Shot, Arrow Splash and Crossbow's: Quick Shot, Multishot, Piercing). Idea came from https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Chain_Support ;

Enderman's Agony - allows to hit endermans and the like.

PS. Floating and Paralysis should not be combinable with each other.

Axe:

Tomahawk (I-III) - let us throw an Axe. After throw the Axe should be unusable for a while. Something like Loyality + Channeling for Trident, but Axe stays in it's place on hotbar to reduce the mess. Levels reduce the cooldown. There was a mod named like this with similar functionality.

Sword:

Beheading (I-III) - increase a chance of dropping a head. Can be applied to an Axe;

Headhunter (I-III) - each hit have a chance to steal positive potion effect from enemy. Idea came from https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Headhunter .

Boots:

Traveller's Blessing (I-III) - Increases movespeed but without using potion effect, so potions will be still worth something. Higher lvl = higher speed boost.

Trident:

Storm (I-II-III) - at lvl I Channeling is able to hit with a lightning even without thunderstorm. At lvl II it summons a lightning even without hitting an entity. At lvl III there is more lightnings (like aoe skill, can be used only with fully charged Trident);

Lightning Coil (I-III) - Trident summons a lightning on hitted block every few seconds for a duration or before we pick it up. Level incrases duration and reduces time between each lightning. (cannot be combined with Storm, Loyality, Channeling, Riptide, can be used only with fully charged Trident).

PS. Tridents should be protected from being damaged by lightning.

Any:

Endereturn - something like good-known Soulbound enchantment but after death It moves items to player's Enderchest. If there is no space items are dropped in place of death.

Fishing rod:

Escape Line - hitting a block exactly above teleports us on a surface. Don't work in Nether. (cannot be combined with Grappling);

Grappling - Rod attracts us to the block it has hit. (cannot be combined with Escape line);

Treasure Hunter - you are not getting any fishes but doubles a chance for other items.

Pickaxe:

AIO - Mines wood and dirt with the same speed as cobblestone.

customizability

Could you add a way to disable and enable certain enchants in a config? And also a limit cap for the amount of levels an enchantment can have?

This way people can customize the enchantments they find too strong or too weak

Quick draw makes "waiting for server" in the end

Game freeze.

[1.19.2 Forge] Switching between weapons with different Fastter Attack lvl doesn't changes attack speed.

If I set some weapons with different Faster Attack lvl in toolbar, then switching between them (using mouse scroll) doesn't apply proper enchant lvl.

Here I have swords with this enchantment arranged from V to I. The last one sword lvl 1 has attack speed value as the first one with enchantment lvl 5:

Game freeze with True Shot

Describe the bug
When too many arrows fired with this enchant are aimed towards empty space, like the sky or in the end, the client eventually stops "ticking" and freezes. You can still move around, but it appears that entity processing entirely stops.

To Reproduce
Fire a bunch of arrows(>20) with True Shot towards the sky or in a direction that won't collide with anything to allow the arrow to reach entity processing range. Give it a few minutes.

Expected behavior
For the arrows to despawn at render range, and to not destroy the internal server.

    Additional context
    I don't know if this helps, but the only thing I was able to spot was that the Rx value for the internal server dropped to 0. I read this value from the f3 screen.

[1.19.2-6.0.0] Broken combo enchant

For some reason sometimes combo NBT tag is added to regular items like emeralds deepslate etc, what prevents them from stacking with items without NBT tag. Also I can't tell when item receive "combo: 0" tag

soft fall enchant causes server to become very buggy when taking fall dmg and player to be unable to move with infinite waiting for server

Inconsistency in Mod ID across versions causes compatibility issues

Ma Enchants for 1.16 has the Mod ID "ma-enchants," while 1.17 and 1.18 have the Mod ID "maenchants." This can cause issues with compatibility with other mods that rely on the Mod ID to determine compat features. One such example is the mod Neko's Enchanted Books, which relies on Mod IDs to assign custom book textures to enchantment books. Mod IDs should typically never be changed if at all possible for reasons such as this, and in cases where they must be changed, the change should be reflected across all versions. It would be great if you could please update the Mod ID of one type or the other so that there is consistency, thank you!

[1.16.1] Killing Ender Dragon with Wisdom freezes game

Modpack version

  • Ma-Enchants-1.16.1-3.2.1

Issue
When killing the Ender Dragon with a wisdom V enchants on any sword the final blow stop all entity's from moving but animations continue (dragons wings keep flapping) when you save quit it wont go past saving world. Replicated 3 times with 2 different swords. All done in single player.

Logs
Game doesnt crash so no logs appplicable.

Faster Attacker enchant doesn't work

I'm current on the latest version (1.14) atm5, which has Ma Enchants v3.0.0, and the issue is, while the faster attacker enchant makes it seem like the attack speed is faster, the damage is not in fact changed.

Incorrect Enchantment

I was having issues applying this enchantment book to a paxel from Silent Gear, however it worked fine with a sword from the same mod.

I then realized that the Ice Aspect level of the book is III. According to JEI the Ice Aspect enchant only goes to II but if you combine 2 Ice Aspect II you get a III. This causes a conflict when you have mods that combine enchantments in a book as it renders any other enchantments unusable. Eventually I found a workaround in which you place the tool with an tool enchantment that works in the anvil and then replace the book without removing the tool. This applies the correct enchantment. What should be added or changed?

  • true/false config "reverse excavate key function" for lumberjack enchant

    while "reverse excavate key function = false", it's same as now.
    while "reverse excavate key function = true", lumberjack enchant only work while not pressing excavate key.

Why should this be done?

  • Lumberjack enchant need for excavate function. why player hold "lumberjack axe" in his inventory? for cutting tree. many tree. but this enchant doesn't work while naturally cutting tree. it require press some key whenever cut every single tree.
    I understand there is some moment that want to stop lumberjack fuction for a while. I guess it's why excavate key exsist. so I request config setting instead delete it.

[1.15.2] Server freezes when fighting ender dragon

Technical Specs:

  • Ma-Enchants-1.15.2-3.1.0
  • modpack: Craft to Exile Version 2.5.5gd2
  • World Type multiplayer (dedicated sv)
  • RAM Allocation 6GB

Describe the bug
While fighting the ender dragon the server just freezes and after 60" the watchdog assumes it crashed and restarts it.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to the end
  2. Fight the ender dragon
  3. freeze at random moment

The server does not crash outside the main island where the ender dragon is.
The crash occurs more often wen the dragon is on top of the portal, but also happens when in flight.

Workaround: We did not remove the mod yet cuz it will mess with our current gear, so we fought with unenchanted weapons and it did not crash.

Might be related to #21.

As the title states. the Faster Attack sword enchantment causes negative attack speed on all tools, even if the enchantment is only on one item.

Seems to attach itself to player data, because all tools are effected, even after removing the enchantment and even the mod.

Causes game to be almost unplayable without the enchantment.

Lifesteal enchant breaks drop rate

Tested in TNP Limitless 3 Limitless 3 - v1.9.9b
Version Ma-Enchants-1.16.3-3.5.0.jar

It completely removes ability for killed slimes to drop reliquary slime pearls, probably all reliquary items, seems to nerf drop rates despite overcapped looting/scavenger enchants (vanilla/apotheosis)

Not sure what else.. definitely this enchant though. Using it on silents gear swords.

Step-up

It will be awesome if you add enchantment allowing to increase step-up height to full block. For boots ofc.

Crashes on death

Describe the bug
When I get killed by a skeleton or by fall damage, the game crashes.

To Reproduce

  1. Create a new world.
  2. Get killed by a skeleton OR get killed by fall damage
  3. The game will crash.

Expected behavior
I expected the game not to crash when I die.

Floating Enchant

Describe the bug
If an arrow is reflected of the Ender Dragon and hits the play, they will not be able to walk. They will only be able to move while jumping. This effect will only go away if you die or kill yourself.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Enchant bow with Floating enchant.
  2. Head to the end and start fighting the dragon
  3. While he is in his perched phase ( in the middle on the ground) show an arrow while close.
  4. If they arrow hits you, your screen will zoom in and you will no longer be able to move until death.

Expected behavior
Character will no longer be able to move until death.

[Suggestion] Being able to disable enchants

I love all the enchantments but I'm using a vein miner and I'd like to disable lumberjack for that cause. I'm sure there's other uses e.g. when people don't like one or two of all the enchantments.

Does this thing even work? It doesn't seem to. There is no ma-enchants-server.toml, either.

Step Assist breaks stairs after equipping it.

Stairs work normally but when you equip an item with the step assist enchantment, it breaks stairs. With the enchantment, stairs work fine but when I take it off, it acts like a full block.

Lumberjack doesn't work

My server is on 1.15.2, and the mod's version is "Ma-Enchants-1.15.2-3.1.0". I know that this enchant might not work on big trees, but for me it doesn't work at all, even on simple trees. I have other mod installed, but the axe i used was a vanilla iron axe. I tested in singleplayer and it didn't work either. The other enchants are working perfectly.

Lumberjack not working at all

Overall great mod but having issues with the lumberjack enchant. I have read the other posts about this issue and still cannot fix it. I changed my key binds back to the original 'c' with no conflicts. I even got another axe made just with that enchant to see if any other mod was conflicting but still nothing. Tried holding the button, only pressing etc. still nothing so I do not know what it could be.
