Many interesting blogs are not in English. Adding a language field/filter will help I think.

I understand that the idea is individual personal blogs, but the tags are only ever so useful. Does it make sense to add one or more OPML feed links so people can subscribe to all/some of the blogs on the site?

The datatable should be able to support excluding a tag from the listing. This would allow more interesting things to float to the top and find some unique blogs. Also the data table should probably be in a randomized order of some sort to help other people be visible as displaying it in alphabetical order reduces discovery.
