The parsing functions are very similar now that the xml parsing is done dynamically, hence it could make sense to move the BBK and ECB code into one package. From a function standpoint this would be nice, since the functions would be prefixed with bbk_ or ecb_ and could be extended to other providers using sdmx format.

This should be decided before putting ecbr onto CRAN.

Allowing for multiple keys should be supported by the endpoint by separating the keys with + would be a nice addition.

Since the package name is renamed to bbk from bundesbank perhaps change the prefix from bb to bbk. bbk seems to the official abbreviation for bundesbank
