casio_sw-10's Issues

expansion of available settings?

since this is a decompilation project, i will take a wild guess that it's now possible to modify it, isn't it possible to expand available settings? (bigger polyphony, bit depth, bigger sample rate, etc.)

Request: Step-by-step guide

What is workflow for creating conv2dll.c for our casio synth?
I see a lot of manual patching. Scary!

It would be nice to have step-by-step RE/patching process, to learn to apply on other VxDs.

about binary conversion (info request)

outstanding reversing work, and what a clever idea to manipulate the binary headers. do you think the vxd -> dll conversion procedure could be repeated for another win95-era vxd softsynth, or did the sw10 have something special which made that possible? ghidra seems to have a vxd loader but haven't tried that out yet.

hanging note in onestop.mid

hi, i appreciate your work at making this synth usable in modern systems, but i found a problem with the MIDI, the one that is pre-packaged in Windows, no less, when rendering onestop.mid with sw10_pcmconvert then the output file sounds normal at first, but then at around 01:27 a hanging note kicks in, and lasts until the end of the song, not even fading out in the ending like other instruments do, i even recompiled it with MINGW to make sure that it's not a compilation error

Windows MIDI driver interface DLL?

Firstly, well done and thanks for getting the decompilation working. Can confirm the output is functioning when pairing with the original SW-10 ROM with sw10_pcmtools.

Just opening an issue here to track a need for a 'compiled' version of a compatible Windows MIDI driver build of this. Can be done with MinGW. (Same for WebMIDI if one wants to use in a browser setting hahaha). I have done both of this before myself in the past for different softsynths. This may come in the form of a future pull request.
