0.9.5-beta issue on Windows 7 x64:
Keep EXIF information all boxes selected, CaesiumPH only keeps some datetime info in the EXIF.
However, all camera and other EXIF information is lost.
A similar bug exists in Caesium (read bug report on https://sourceforge.net/p/caesium/bugs/18/).

Nevertheless, if you sort by "saved" then the order is wrong, because it sorts by digit after digit and not by total number. So this means that e.g. 9.4% is "bigger" than 88.4%

So this is the actual result:

Again title says it all. On the plus side it does an OK job of finding those files.
Windows 10

If you have a lot of really small images and try to save size, it can happen that casesiumPH is increasing the file size (e.g. 6000_4.jpg in the screenshot)

This should be prevented and instead it should
a) copy the original to the folder or
b) skip that image

I would prefer a) because afterwards it would be a mess to check always both folders.

The only concern is the compression setting in the preferences ("Keep exif", ...) - not sure, how to handle that.

I tried using this to optimize over 5000 files spread across 36 folders in a single batch, but it deleted a large number of the files, reporting 100% savings for them. I had it set to overwrite the files and to walk through subfolders (all the folders were contained in a single parent folder that I imported), but all other settings were default. This is on Windows 10.

Doesn't even launch. Get the bouncing icon in my Dock then it crashes.

If i put over 7000 pics , the program will crash without any message.
Just disapear.
but i go back to check the pic wether progress the compression.
It does perform compression but only performs halfway.

Title says it all really. I imagine because it changes so many files / compresses them.
More of a heads up than an issue. Perhaps it was because I tried to do so many at once.

Would be great to offer Caesium on a package form. Could be classic deb or newer forms:

• AppImage
• Snap
• Flatpak

Would be great, to add some statistics for total saving, e.g. as on imageotim

It's great. Please do it because this is a very awesome software to be missing on linux. A lot of newbies like me fail to compile.

Here is the status line I got when i compressed my photo library:

Compression completed! 3046 files compressed in 32:26 minutes, from -1714434741 bytes to -2085356967 bytes. Saved 353.74 Mb (-21.6%)

Folder original disk size: 19 772 162 431 bytes with 5 283 Files in 159 Folders
Folder recompressed disk size: 19 408 586 881 bytes

Since the binaries are being provided for Windows and MacOS, it would be nice if you include some documentation for getting it set up on Linux as well. Not everyone is familiar with compiling using Qt.

How do i prevent rotation of images from getting affected?

(portrait images from DSLR get rotated)

If you drag more than one folder into CaesiumPH, it will only add the images of the "dragged" folder.

so e.g. you have three folders:
folder1
folder2
folder3

and you mark them all and drag them by pulling "folder2", only the images of folder2 will be added

(Win 8.1)

The progressive hook has no function. Even if it is not set, all images are progressive afterwards.
