Review which sections discuss manipulating desktop icons and update to show:

• Right click an icon to view options:
  • Cut, Copy, Delete functionality.
  • Launch item (may not be new)
  • View properties
• Click'n'drag functionality.
• Right-click menu now has "Desktop Actions" option "New Folder", "New File", and "Paste" options.

Test/Review for any missed updates to functionality.

Problem

(Configuration/Interface Configuration/Desktop) Text says default plugin is RSS reader, but Note Pad is shown in the screenshot.

The utilities/insight file manager section needs an update with new screenshots and reworked text.

lumina-screenshot (tied to the "PrintScreen" button by default) creates, modifies, and saves screenshots.

lumina-info is used to view information about the desktop itself.

Lumina xconfig has been heavily reworked and all documentation needs to follow.
This includes text and screenshots.

Port over code from sysadm-docs repo Makefile, index.rst, and conf.py files to simplify the process.

I went to search for a term in the Lumina handbook, hosted at https://lumina-desktop.org/handbook/ , but the search results directed to the TrueOS handbook.

Create an image archive directory and move all unused images to it.
Compress all images in the repo - minimal quality reduction is preferred.

lumina-calculator is a full scientific calculator with an simplistic interface.

lumina-search is a simple graphical utility to search for files and applications on the system.

lumina-xdg-entry is a simple graphical tool for creating XDG desktop entries.

lumina-open is a graphical front-end to xdg-open. It is used to open files or links with the proper application.

lumina-textedit is a plaintext editor with syntax highlighting, tabs, and find/replace functionality.

Experimental as of 1.3.0 - will need a full workup when it is ready for full inclusion in Lumina.

Utility added for 1.3.0 release needs full workup: Explanatory text and minimum one screenshot (luminautl.rst).

That sequence of commands does not work. I think there's a line missing, a command to be performed after cloning:

cd lumina

No rush for lumina-desktop/lumina#347 but for as long as all panels must be transparent, the handbook should not use the word "may".

From post 5 under How to make a panel opaque?:

For as long as there's no user preference, there should be a change to the wording at https://lumina-desktop.org/handbook/luminaconfig.html#panels:

… Panels must be aligned along a screen edge, opposite screen edges in the case of two panels, and may have any width, color, or transparency. …

– if a panel may have transparency, then there should be a may not.

Review all insight docs and update:

lumina-archiver is a graphical front-end to tar and is used to manage and/or create archives.

Remove unnecessary :.

lumina-fm is the CLI command to open Insight File Manager, a utility used for browsing or otherwise interacting with files on the system.

Partially added for 1.3.0 - needs full writeup (luminautl.rst).

We still need a manpage for the lumina-pdf utility.
This one should be very simple: No CLI flags aside from a single file path for the *.pdf file to open (or none at all).

lumina-xconfig is a graphical front-end to xrandr. It is used to manage monitor configurations.

May need slight rework to incorporate Lumina specific elements: investigate.

lumina-mediaplayer is a very simple graphical utility that plays various media files. It also has hooks to stream online radio services.

lumina-fileinfo is used to view the properties of specific files. It also includes a simple XDG application registration creator.

The issue trackers for sysadm are not up and running, so we need to update docs to point there for the place to report issues instead of the trueos-core repo.

lumina-notify is a CLI utility used to show a graphical user prompt.

lumina-config is used to modify many different desktop settings, including appearance, defaults, interface, and other system settings.
