it doesn't make sense to have both positional arguments and sub-commands. we should block this scenario by not allowing sub-commands when positional args are defined, and by blocking positional arguments when subcommands are defined.
A way to catch this at compile time would be best.

when showing help text for a subcommand, it's helpful to also display any options that are defined in parent commands.

cmd help => cmd --help

should be

run(rootCommand) {
   rootCommand = rootCommand || this;

You should consider to make your project compatible to older versions of node or give a warning in the Readme.
