redmine_assign_via_commit's Introduction

This plug-in allows you to set the assignee via your commit message

Simply add a > and the desired login name after your reference to the corresponding commit.

Examples

This commit refs #1, #2 and fixes #3 >johndoe

or

Implement feature #1234 @2,5h >johndoe

Installation

Just follow the plugin installation procedure from the Redmine Wiki.

Implementation

This plug in patches a hook into scan_for_issues of the Redmine model Changeset (for future flexibility) and then attaches a listener to that hook to parse commit messages.

Assign to group

Hi,
would be nice if you could assign issues to groups through this. We have a couple of testers and would be nice to assign it simply to the "Tester" group. Less manual work and safes learning the testing teams names :)

tests needed

Test whether all cases are detected correctly.
This includes especially all variants mentioned in the Redmine Wiki with appended >someuser.
Also, we should test if multiple assignments per commit work as expected (e.g. fixes #3 >admin, refs #4 >johndoe).
