Powershell installer/updated for custom Batocera firmware on the Anbernic RG35xx handheld game system.

Only tested on Windows, YMMV.

Resizing Partitions

Right now re/sizing FAT32 volumes (i.e. the ROMS partition) on Windows for > 32GB isn't doable without third party tools. I haven't been able to find a reliable CLI tool to do this, but please open an enhancement request if you know of one.

In the mean time, you can add a 👍🏻 to the request to include this capability as a feature in balena-cli so that large SD cards could be auto-formatted and loaded with ROMs via this module.

Potential improvements:

  • Publish module to PS Gallery for easier upkeep

Describe the solution you'd like
Make the module cross-platform for MacOS / Linux.

Additional context
I don't have a Mac to test on, nor the time at the moment. But if anyone wants to take up this issue I support it.

At a high level, the following needs work to be compatible:

  • I assume the 7Zip4PowerShell module isn't Pwsh Core compatible, so an alternative route (maybe just call 7zip from the CLI) would be needed. This approach should work for all platforms.
  • Disk management - mainly the stuff to detect and expand the ROM partition in the Install- command would need to be done with a unix utility but should be pretty straight forward.
