About

PointerKit is a proof of concept framework to use a pointing device on iOS. This is done via a multipeer connection between a Mac and an iOS device. The pointer movement is captured by the Mac app, after which it's send to the receiving iOS device (over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi).

This project uses PTFakeTouch for faking touches.

Implementing

If you're an app developer, you can add mouse support by compiling and including the PointerKit framework (from RemotePointer.xcworkspace) and adding a couple lines of code to your project:

var manager: PointerManager!

override func viewDidAppear(_ animated: Bool) {
    super.viewDidAppear(animated)

    manager = PointerManager(with: self, in: UIApplication.shared.keyWindow!)

    manager.showConnector()
}

pointerkit's Issues

RemotePointer - Failure after tapping on "Done"-Button

I'd tried running your code sample (MacOS 10.12.6 & iOS 11.1.1). So far, after building and running everything seemed working incl. the establishment of both devices interaction. The mouse could be moved from the Mac trackpad, and iPhone reacted its received touch instruction as it should.

The problem appears when clicking the "Done"- or "Cancel"- Button. The screen is shortly flickering, the green background with "button" chars appears, but then the connection breaks and the flicker ends up in the connectivity view again. Any ideas what this could cause this?

Thank you, also for that nice sample!
