Variable "spaceBetweenTiles" makes some unexpected behaviour

Whenever you set it's field to contain numbers like 5,18,19 or 20 (The rest is working fine, at least I think so). it makes the offset much bigger than it should be.

the problem lies somewhere here but I can't find it.
