digital-total's Introduction

Hi there πŸ‘‹

I am a Postdoctoral Reseach Fellow in the Max Planck Research Group NeuroCode, led by Nico Schuck, at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany πŸ‘¨β€πŸ”¬ I study fast reactivation of task representations (known as "replay") in the human brain using fMRI 🧠 I am passionate about open science, computational reproducibility, coding and research data management.

add background about our research group

The research group investigates how the brain uses past experiences to guide decision making. It employs func-
tional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to study neural representations and replay of previous events, and uses
reinforcement learning and neural network algorithms to model behavioral and neural data. This sheds light on our
memory, on our choices, and on parallels between human and artificial intelligence.

note from the organizers

Dear speakers at Digital Total,

Thank you very much for your willingness to deliver a presentation in one or more sessions at the Digital Total event!

In this email, you will find information regarding your presentation. At the same time, I kindly request that you respond to this message with the title of your presentation and your preferred language by September 14th, if possible. This will help us finalize the program. Digital Total is planned as a bilingual event, so we ask you to inform us of your preferred presentation language. Based on this information, we will arrange the order of sessions according to the languages in each block.

Additionally, for the smooth running of the session, we will need your presentation slides in pptx or PDF format by October 4th, at the latest.

Your presentation is scheduled for October 10th in Session "5.2: FakultΓ€re Angebote und relevante Zentrale Einrichtungen" during the timeframe from 2 p.m to 3:30 p.m. It should last approximately 10-12 minutes. Since the sessions are organized by the respective session chairs, if you are delivering multiple presentations, you will receive multiple emails.

When preparing your presentation, please consider that while the audience is digitally savvy, this is an interdisciplinary event that should be understandable to the majority of scientific professionals and should focus on digital transformation. If organizations are to be introduced, please do so briefly and in an overview manner. Key questions to address could include: Where do we stand in terms of digital transformation? How does it impact/enhance our research? Where are we headed?

Furthermore, I would like to remind you that all speakers for Digital Total must be registered for the event. Registration information can be found at https://www.conferences.uni-hamburg.de/event/387/registrations/547/.

We aim for a relaxed atmosphere throughout the event and would like to take this opportunity to invite all participants to the social event on October 9th, featuring food, drinks, and a DJ at the Forum des Audimax.

I look forward to an interesting and diverse event on digital transformation in Hamburg!
