It would be nice to see a dump of the configuration that is about to be used before the interval begins.

Percentage of power (as you know is not working).
Over the weekend I tested this a lot and I'm pretty sure that the DC motor and/or the super short (ie two digit milliseconds) will give us inconsistent results. I tried a bunch of times with everything between 60 to 70 milliseconds and found that it would either overshoot by about 10cm or undershoot by 10 cm... totally unpredicatble.

Thinking I might need to transition to a ratchet/crank type of system and use the servo.
If a percentage power out put is reliable with the servo then it could save a lot of work on the mech eng side.

Since we want opt-out (see #4) we should use nom-log or bunyan.

It turns out debug info is just plain useful for this utility. It should be opt-out not opt-in.

e.g. maybe <SPACE> key pauses/continues process? This is useful with long-running loops (e.g. 1000) where some action needs to be taken on the installed circuit.
