I have the last version of dokuwiki. I have just installed datepicker plugin. It works except that the language is in german and dont turn in french. What can I do?

Just tried the datepicker with the detritus version of dokuwiki. The calendar displays fine and a date appears as expected. However, the page does not seem to be saved. If I try to change to a different page, or press the regular edit button, a pop-up asks whether or not I really want to leave the page. If I answer "no". I just return to the page (with the date still being shown). If I choose "yes", I indeed leave the page. But the date is gone when I reopen.

This is consistent with the behaviour of the regular editor if I try to leave without saving my changes. So I get the impression that the plugin fails to properly save the changed page.
Any chance, this can be fixed?
