It is need to describe about configuring the Realm in shiro.ini (section 2b) in all steps after 2 or add advice to merge previous step (or step2) branch (but there are some merge conflicts)

Stormpath has been acquired (I think) by Okta and they do not accept any new account requests,

so I guess the tutorial should be updated accordingly. I have created a dev account with Okta, but their interface do not match the tutorial steps.

IMHO it would be best to change the tutorial so that it uses an RDBMS as a backend.

Why using Stormpath while these simple lines in shiro.ini are enough to have a static user set up:

#username admin, password: secret
[users]
admin = secret

Stormpath is out of date, can you convert an instance to a local account password? Such as using the ini file to store account passwords.
