Right now, you introduced one API function for inserting new messages, which you could of course have done directly in the component (maybe mention in the talk that we prefer keeping mutation functions in the API file to centralize logic etc). One thing that we are not demonstration, which is a pretty key Meteor functionality, is server-side functions.

Perhaps a simple example would be one to delete all chat messages - something you cannot easily do client-side (you can only delete individual entries by ID)... Just to show how simple it is to write code that runs server-side, but is called client-side?
