This is a simple playground for exposing metrics from a Node.js service to Prometheus and then querying Prometheus from Grafana.

Exposed metrics:
metric_gauge- A gauge type metric. More infometric_counter- A counter type metric. More infometric_histogram- A histogram type metric. More info

$ docker-compose upVisit http://localhost:3000/explore for playing around with the metrics. (The service is scraped for random metrics every 1s for more frequent data)
# Starts the Node.js service and restarts it on changes
$ yarn dev
# Starts Prometheus and Grafana
