Hello,
I try to use this script on a Raspberry Pi, but it's unable to locate jq.
Does somebody know how to use this script on Raspberry Pi.
The jq package can be found in wheezy backports.

But why not on the Raspberry Pi?

wget supports a --continue option such that it stores partial downloads and picks it up on subsequent invocation. This is handy when e.g. the internet connection is not stable or the download should only happen during certain hours during the week etc.pp. Would be great if the script would accept a flag for that.

I just noticed that the ARD seems to have changed their JSON structures. There is no Quality=3 anymore (highest is 2, seems to be former 3) and there are two files in the '.stream' output (not a JSON-pro... I'd call it a dictionary-key). The file you want for highest quality is the second entry. Thus, I changed the default QUALITY to 2 and in the DOWNLOADURL in the last jq-call: '.stream[1]'.

I tried to use your script with "./download_mediathek.sh -f filename.mp4 -q 3 www.ardmediathek.de/tv/Aktueller-Bericht/aktueller-bericht-03-04-2014/SR-Fernsehen/Video?documentId=20580434&bcastId=743232"

This is what I get back:

Can you give me hint, whats wrong with my input ?

I tried to download an episode of Babylon Berlin (https://www.ardmediathek.de/ard/player/Y3JpZDovL2Rhc2Vyc3RlLmRlL2JhYnlsb24tYmVybGluLzYwMzk5MTBlLTBhZDAtNDg1Ni04OWRkLWQxODdjZmZiNmMxYw/folge-1), but this doesn't work:
