growatt-rs232-reader's Issues

Growatt SPH series

I'm looking at the possibilities of using a Growatt SPH series inverter which supports feeding power back to the grid from a battery. Would it be possible to change the mode/times/maybe even output power through RS-232? This would make the inverter perfect for DIY battery builds :)

I haven't found new protocol documentation on Google but maybe I have overlooked some stuff.

Doesn't work with Growatt 3000 S

Hi there,

when I start the reader I get an error:

15:18 [INFO] Starting Growatt Inverter Reader v1.100
15:18 [INFO] Init requested...
15:18 [INFO] Sending initialisation to inverter...
15:18 [WARN] Init not accepted: EOF
15:18 [WARN] Failed. Please retry!

It's an Growatt 3000 S.

Should a Growatt 3000-MTL-S be supported?

I am trying multiple open source packages on a Growatt 3000-MTL-S that was connected via a ShineLAN before. My main purpose for this attempt is to have an increased samplerate for the reactive voltage and network frequency. Basically none of packages including this one worked. Has this ever be tested with the MTL-S series?

Growatt Protocol Specs

Hi,
could your please share the document of the protocol specifications. So far, I only was able to find 'Growatt Inverter Communication Command' (from 2010) specs which you might use? I'd like to change/write some internal values. Do you know how it's done? ShineBus does not work for me (Windows in Parallels on Mac... this could be the issue...)

Thanks in advance!
Juergen

Growatt DB9 (RS2329) pinout

Hey lemval, Thanks for your library!
As you might know there are Growatt adapters which you can plug to DB9 to add functions (wifi, lan, bluetooth, ...).
I would like to use your library on eg. an Arduino and use the power provided by the inverter DB9 connector to power the Arduino so no external power source is required. Do you know per chance how many current you can draw from inverter DB9 connector to power the reader electronics? Thanks for the hint!
