Turkey has been hit by two devastating earthquakes reaching magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6 in nine hours. The deadly impact has been widespread, including 10 cities in Turkey.

The ramifications of these quakes will impact this region for months. Raising funds are extremely important to meet survivors’ immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, medicine and shelter. Here are some relief efforts that you could donate:

Lemi Orhan Ergin is a software crafter based in Turkey with a passion for raising the bar of his profession and sharing his experiences with communities. He is the co-founder of Craftgate and founder of Turkish Software Craftsmanship Community. He previously worked at Sony, eBay/GittiGidiyor, ACM, and iyzico in various technical leadership and coaching roles. He has been actively programming since 2001.

Giving back to the community is the way he lives. As of 2023, he has already spoken at 30+ conferences (like Devoxx Ukraine, Devoxx Poland, Devoxx Belgium, Agile ME, GrowIT Serbia, Bosnia Agile Day, and many others) including 3 keynote talks and 200+ seminars, organized 200+ meetups, created a podcast series, and distributed his talks to feed his passion. He had interesting days with the famous Apple root bug in 2017 and collected unforgettable memories.
