L2D (Legend 2D) Engine is a simple, effective and efficient 2D rendering / game engine made by Legend286 and Boomer678.
L2D aims to provide a framework for various 2D games.
Planned features:
• Deferred 2D lighting with shadows using radial + gaussian blur for shadowcasting with an alpha mask to control shadowcasters. Including Point and Spot lights with normalmap response
• 2D Motion Vector Based Per Pixel Motion Blur from movable and static sprites.
• Sprite Hierarchy for parented objects
• Component system to utilise the most optimsed systems for adding functionality to entities.
