Can someone please double check the notation here and explanation for subset and proper subset; it does not look accurate to me. Thanks

That's actually the intersection symbol!

why wouldnt you use S, T and R?

Hi All,
The line : 'In mathematical terms, the union of SS and TT is denoted as S∩TS∩T .", was very very confusing.

Until I watched a few other videos to see that the symbol S∩TS∩T means intersection, not union. Maybe I'm wrong here, but it looks like you use the word union for both types of joins (intersection and union).

Example: If S is the set of even numbers, set $T = {2, 6, 22}$ is a proper subset of $S$. Formally, you can write this as $T \subsetneq S$, or more ambiguously, $T \subset S$.

The notation in the example contradicts the definition of proper subsets. The bold section above should be replaced.

Given: T = {2 , 6, 22} and S = { all even number}

T is a proper subset of S , $ T \subseteq S $

the final venn diagram has a typo. It should say B∩C instead of A∩B
