This doesn't look like a bug in fibers.. seems to be npm related. Could you please post the additional logging details?

Yeah I can't really figure this one out. I can install fibers fine on node 0.4. The error is in rimraf.. seems like there is an exception being thrown that isn't an error object maybe. Could you post this to the npm google group and see if you get an ideas there?

Gonna assume that you got this resolved!

No, I haven't, but I just gave up on libxml2js (and frankly after the discussion on the node list, I am sorely tempted to go back to RingoJS ... there are just few people over there but they seem to be sane).

libxml2js? This is the node-fibers project. Anyway I think there's a problem with your node or npm installation, sorry I can't pinpoint exactly what it is but the error doesn't seem to related to node-fibers.

libxml2js depends on node-fibers apparently. Otherwise, hmm. Oh well.

Ah interesting. Well seriously I highly recommend asking on the npm list. I have no idea what that error is and am 95% it's something they could resolve for you pretty quickly. Good luck!
