recalltoolbox's Issues

Unreliable Double Click

Florian Duffe writes:

performance: sometimes I have to double-click twice to get an item to work.

User Interface Improvements

Marc Bach writes:

Hey just sent you some feedback for the recall toolbox and I wanted to add more:

The Sharing Info and Accept Share buttons should be only Share and Join or something similar. Also when sharing a folder, I think the sharing floating window should have a cancel button or a commit kind of button so you can scrap all at once. And permissions should be set at that moment of adding the email address, the way it is now you add the address and then you have to go back and change permissions to read or write.

Also I see a double click pastes the item on the timeline but what if I just want to “read” the effects to copy to the clipboard to paste them as attributes? Should that be a single click, right click, a separate “copy to clipboard” button?

Add some built-in Thumbnails

Florian Duffe writes:

Thumbnails: it's cool that you can choose you're own thumbnails, but when you're in "the zone" you wont do it. I don't have an icon set at hand. So it would be very convenient if Recall Toolbox could offer a set of easy understandable icons/thumbnails, like for sound, compound, Title, etc.

Add option to switch to List View

Florian Duffe writes:

Longer names are trunkated, maybe a list-view would be a nice idea. But I'm not sure how I would use it, maybe it's better to have many folders with few items in them to quickly find the right one?

Allow copying to pasteboard without triggering paste

Add option to sort items alphabetically

An option to sort items in Recall toolbox alphabetically would be really helpful. I tend to store items based on scene number, but they currently sort in the order they are added.

Improve UI on smaller screens

Iain Anderson writes:

A small thing — it's fairly easy to make the window too small to read the buttons. Not sure if I have any great ideas how this could be avoided though.

Improve the buttons in the main user interface

Florian Duffe writes:

For your first patch I only would recommend a few UI-Improvements:
The buttons in the left lower corner for folders and items are very similar and when you don't use it for a while you gotta think again which is which. the + and - are very small. Maybe it would be a good idea to move "New item" and "Remove item" below the window with the items in it.
