It should already be support via something like https://github.com/jenssegers/laravel-mongodb but Waterline will need a change to support it.

The issue is we forced this Model on

Laravel can't overwrite it with Custom model. (Custom models not extend from StoredWorkflow)

Could you do it like this?

namespace App\Models;

use Workflow\Models\StoredWorkflow as BaseStoredWorkflow;

class StoredWorkflow extends BaseStoredWorkflow
{
    protected $connection = 'mongodb';
}

Ah I see now that package has its own model to extend.

use Jenssegers\Mongodb\Eloquent\Model;

Let me see what other changes would need to be made.
