astronomical's Issues

World loading freezes on any %

image
I only have Quilted Fabric Api and Quilt Standard Libraries and Astronomical. But for some reason when i try creating a new world the loading just stops and never ends. When i try joining already created world, i get message "Invalid player data". Anyone knows on how to fix it?

Issue creating worlds.

When ever I go to create a creative world, the game either freezes the loading process, or B: tries to send me into a multiplayer world. I don't know I'm doing wrong and I'm using only Astronomical in my mod setup.

marshmallow ui

the ui of the marshmallow is only showing up in creative

Interactable stars don't render on the 1.20 branch

This is the last thing needed for the port to be finished (minus the screen flash, which I can do later), but I have no idea how to fix it. Keeping this as a note here so we don't forget, or if someone else wants to look into it

Minecraft appears to "crash" when creating a world with the mod.

Trying to load into a world while playing with the mod freezes on the loading screen, and the window can only be closed with Task Manager. The only mods I'm using are this one and Quilted Fabric Loader (which is listed as a dependency by Quilt.)

(Sorry if this is a problem with my system, I'm not sure where else to ask!)

Stops Minecraft from starting altogether no matter what I try

I have completely emptied my 1.19.2 installation of mods except for QFAPI + QSL, Cardinal Components API, and this mod. I've tried everything, from using either version of this mod, to rolling back the QFAPI version to several previous versions, to even rolling back the version of the quilt modloader to various previous versions, and multiple combinations of those attempted solutions.

When the game tries to load a planet/star it crashes maybe it is a mod conflict. Any help, please?

Crash report

crash-2024-05-01_14.45.57-client.txt

Notes

The lines to look at are these:

Caused by: net.minecraft.class_2973: Invalid shaders/core/particle.json: Non [a-z0-9/._-] character in path of location: lodestone:lodestone:shaders/core/particle.vsh

Caused by: net.minecraft.class_151: Non [a-z0-9/._-] character in path of location: lodestone:lodestone:shaders/core/particle.vsh

This is because Lodestone Lib, which is included in Astronomical, does not support Fabric API 0.77.0 which adds FabricMC/fabric#3413

Until this is addressed, users can get it to work by downgrading Fabric API to 0.76.x by downgrading QFAPI: https://modrinth.com/mod/qsl/version/4.0.0-beta.30+0.76.0-1.19.2

CTD when pressing 'M' on keyboard

So this is weird, crashing when I press 'M'. It is just that letter, nothing else crashes the game. I am not sure what's going on, but to my understanding of the crash log, it is coming from this mod. Figured that it would be a good idea to report and let people who understand these things figure it out. Also, sorry that it's long, I use a lot of mods- astronomical is the newest addition.

Crash log here

SUGGESTION: axial tilt slider?

a slider that lets you tilt an object towards or away from the object it orbits, and maybe a toggle for whether it also tilts the orbits of the objects that orbit it.

BUG REPORT: Crashes with create when using the "ponder" feature.

It seems this mod is somehow conflicting with create when rendering the "ponder" menu? I've read through the crash log and it seems like it. I can replicate the issue if i have both of them on and try to ponder, and pondering works fine with this mod disabled.

Additionally it renders planet displays without any issues so that's a plus.

Crash log:

Create version: v0.5.1c
I haven't tried the other versions but i think its the issue with this mod.
