Remove database and credential file.

For security reasons, the database should not be stored in the repository, also credential of any type. I suggest using the Twelve-Factor App methodology in order to solve the issues.

Move statics to CDN

It is important to store all the static files (images, CSS, and js files that are external to the project, fonts, etc) to a Content Delivery Network. This will free space from the repository and also improve the website performance.
I suggest using Amazon S3, and also offer my help to work on that task.
