Welcome to Contributor Katacoda!

This repository hosts Katacoda scenarios for aspiring contributors and aims to familiarize them with the process of contributing to Kubernetes.

This project is currently owned and maintained by the SIG Contribex Mentoring Subproject

Contribute

We are always looking for people to help us improve these katacoda scenarios with more use cases. Look at our contributing guide to get started. Please feel free to join our weekly meetings or reach out to the maintainers of this project in the SIG-Contribex channel on kubernetes slack.

contributor-katacoda's Issues

Create a SECURITY_CONTACTS file.

As per the email sent to kubernetes-dev[1], please create a SECURITY_CONTACTS
file.

The template for the file can be found in the kubernetes-template repository[2].
A description for the file is in the steering-committee docs[3], you might need
to search that page for "Security Contacts".

Please feel free to ping me on the PR when you make it, otherwise I will see when
you close this issue. :)

Thanks so much, let me know if you have any questions.

(This issue was generated from a tool, apologies for any weirdness.)

Integration of Katacoda webhook

For the katacoda scenario to be fully functional, we need to integrate the katacoda webhook with this repository. This is a tracking issue for that

  • Integration of katacoda webhook kubernetes/org#3123
  • Test if the author profile is up and working

Reach out to SIGs to look for their requirements

We need to reach out to various sigs and ask their requirements on what documentation they want to have scenarios. As SIGs would be well aware of things that are essential for beginners but a bit complex to understand

Katacoda Scenario for windows users

The present scenario hosted here is for users working on Linux environment, we would also like to have such scenarios for windows users, as most of the first-time contributors, especially students tend to use windows.
But at present, the katacoda only supports these scenarios, which doesn't include windows. Still, there are options to create a custom environment.
