playertube's Issues

2006 Player | Progress Bar & Other Issues

A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

Hi, got a small bug report. I'm not sure if the 2006 player theme is fully complete or still being worked on so i thought i'd submit this in case you were not already aware of it. the rest of the layouts looks and work great as always but the 2006 layout is pretty bugged out which can be seen in the screen shot.

If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Old Loading Spinner and Progress Bar Issue

I really like using this fantastic extension with the old video player but I think it is missing the old loading spinner and the progress bar does not go all the way to the end like it is supposed to so can you please fix those two things if you can and whenever you have a chance?

2006 Player Timer Stuck

A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

I'm not quite sure what causes it, but sometimes the part of the bar showing how much time is left will freeze, while also keeping the video bar moving properly.

Loader Spinner Doubling in Full Screen Mode

In the latest workflow run with v1.5.2.1 as of posting I am experiencing two loading spinners when in full screen mode. The reason I did not download v1.5.2 of the Chrome Web Store extension to report this issue is because it did not load the old video player design at all.

Wrong years displayed in "General Settings - Change year of Player"

A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

I see 2012, 2011, 2010, 2006 years instead of 2015, 2012, 2010, 2006 in "General Settings - Change year of Player". So, if I have actual 2015 year version enabled, it'll display as 2012.

If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

There is 2 bugs in player.
In embedded videos, the bar goes out of bounds.
When playing a video, the bar is struggling to stretch. It fixes by itself when the comments section loaded or not. Also the watch later button is blinking. This bug was found at version 1.6 and this bug is still present.

2006 player?

Back when this was GitHub only, I noticed that you teased that the 2006 YT player would come with the extension eventually. Is that still planned or did you abandon that?

Light Theme for 2015 YouTube Player

I know you can set the player's background to gray for this but I think it would be interesting to see a light theme with actual black buttons on the Youtube player itself to make it more accurate to this light-mode player that actually existed on Youtube back in 2014 which I found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/oldyoutubelayout/comments/18uaiwz/screenshot_of_a_lightmode_youtube_player_seen_in/

I also see no options to change the button colors on the player so that is another reason I request a feature that can recreate the light-mode theme.

the player bar doesnt properly stretch out across the entire bottom when the player size is smaller

A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

when customtube is enabled the player is always smaller in anything pre-2014 no matter if you have auto resize turned off and it seems that the player being smaller causes it to improperly stretch across. funnily if you just simply go to default current theme with customtube still on it breaks it more by making the seek bar turn invisible, no idea what could make that specifically react like that, just giving a notice in case its another issue to check out (shown in last image).
this issue effects all themes
first image is what it looks with customtube enabled and on the 2012 theme to match the 2012 player with the bar not stretching to the right all the way (weird button stuff in the top left is a layout bug with customtube and not due to playertube) and second is showing customtube fully disabled to prove that the issue is only due to the player being smaller from customtube rather than any other customization thing (which aren't on). third image shows how the 2006 theme looks which is obviously in a worse condition than the others due to still being a wip.

If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Firefox: Some PlayerTube images not showing.

This is an issue I should’ve known about, and I apologize to our Firefox users.
This is caused by the recent update of using the extension’s storage for the images and assets. This will be fixed in a v1.6.1.1 only for Firefox and a "patched" version on our releases page.

[ Bug ] Player Icons broken

Describe the bug
Extension working normally last 3 weeks until it broke today. The player works but the icons were all broken. I am using the 2012 player, but if I use the 2015 player, it doesn't have icons and the buttons are broken. I tried to disable then reenable, pressing the big "nuke" button, uninstall then reinstall the extension and none of them fixed this problem. The only has icons is the 2010 player but the settings icon is missing.
