SlingshotDataSet fatal error about slingshot HOT 3 CLOSED

Thanks for the report! I think you're right that this could behave in a more intuitive manner. The SlingshotDataSet function is intended to create a SlingshotDataSet object or extract one from a larger data structure, such as a SingleCellExperiment (in the context of the vignette, sce is a SingleCellExperiment object).

However, if you define sce to be a SlingshotDataSet object (as you appear to have done), then intuitively, it seems like SlingshotDataSet(sce) should just return the original object, instead of throwing an error. I'll work on fixing this.

If you want a quick workaround, I think you can remove the call to SlingshotDataSet and just use the sce object directly.

Ok, I added a method that handles this (by returning the same object). The latest version from here should work for you now!
