improve incorrect input handling for number guess in guess_the_number.py

If you enter a letter the application crashes with the following kind of error

Hello what is your name? 
Mike
Well, Mike, I am thinking of a number between 1 and 20

Take a guess
k

When entering a blank response the following error is seen

Guessing "0" counts as a guess, but game does not end

Guessing the number "0" through the 6 attempts will eventually reveal the answer, however instead of asking to play the game again it will continue to ask you to guess a number. This happens repeatedly if always answering 0.
