obmin's Issues

local ip address is set to 127.0.0.1

Hi,

on my notebook I use a USB-Lan-Adapter. It is called usb0 in my network settings. The obmin gnome shell extension doesn't detect this and is running with the loop back adapter (127.0.0.1). But with this loop back adapter I cant share files with others.

Is it possible to tell the obmin extension which network interface should be used?

Issue in Raspberry pi 4

How to transfer files between computers

I have been using this software for some time now but have yet to figure out how to use it to transfer files between the 2 computers after logging into obmin from browser? I assume this is soposed to be a nextcloud type program correct? I just like it cause its simple and easy to set up but file transfer is one big thing I am looking for.

the fix for the local IP doesn't work

Hi,

today i installed the new version of your extension with the fix for the local IP address. But the fix doesn't work on my manjaro linux.

In your fix you are using: ("hostname -I") but if I type this in a termina I get:

└─▶hostname -I
hostname: invalid option -- 'I'
Try 'hostname --help' or 'hostname --usage' for more information.

If I change "hostname -I" by "hostname -i" in extension.js, common/center.js and common/indicator.js all is working fine

Obmin error in bullseye: Fields hash contained a non-string field

Could not get files on obmin server running on bullseye.
error output streams read_doneError: Fields hash contained a non-string field
It seems the error is file size related, files whose size is smaller than 50 kB can be downloaded properly.
gir1.2-appindicator3 is missing from bullseye for now, don't know if it is related.

Will not start server when enabling user authentication

I am using OBmin version 19 on centOS 8.
I can add folders and change any other settings but when trying to set a user name and password the server will not start.
What happens exactly is when I check the box for user authentication and than click the power symbol to start the server it never starts. Once and a while it starts for a split second and than stops immediately.
If you need any additional information just let me know.
Love this project making my server life a ton easier!

The drop down menu lags

Latest obmin gnome shell extension on ubuntu 17.10
The appear of drop down menu always lags, not only on 17.10, but also on 16.04, 17.04.
The lags really annoying, please fix it.
