Uzi

Chrome extension to generate random strings, given specific criteria, and copy them to clipboard.

Installation:

  1. download the uzi-1.2.0 crx file,
  2. right-click, choose "open" in your browser of choice. The extension manager should appear.
  3. Choose "install".

Usage:

  1. Click the "uzi" icon in the browser toolbar.
  2. Select a length and stringbase. The default is "3", and "all", respectively. Generation happens automatically when either is changed.
  3. To regenerate, click on the string length option and press the "enter" key.
  4. To view MD5, SHA1 and Base64 options, click the "More strings" bar.
  5. Each generated option (raw, MD5, SHA1, Base64) can be copied to the clipboard.
  6. To reverse the current raw string, click the "reverse" button. This will affect the other generated options.
  7. To reset the form, press the "clear" button.

Note:

Generated strings are not permanently stored. Resetting the form or closing the extension popup will cause you to lose any values you have not copied.
