Comment fetching may proceed normally for a minute or so.
In the case of the live archive, the chat comments are fetched properly from the beginning to the end of the video, so it seems that new comments are not being fetched properly by the automatic update of the chat section in the case of the live chat.
New comments can also be fetched by opening and closing the chat column to reload it.

Installation aborted while patching by the below error.
It's an old Android 7.0 Galaxy tablet without root.

.apk version was set to recommended version so I wonder where this bug is coming from.
Although I have 0 knowledge in Android development but it seems like Flutter is the issue judging by the error log?

Bug description

Have used this app without any issues for a month, this issue suddenly started yesterday on 26th of July.

Videos will buffer after around 1 minute (differs per video) of runtime no matter what.
Even if you close the video and reopen it, it happens again.
Youtube livestreams barely play a second before it starts buffering.

I tried disabling the protobuf spoof and it only helps a little bit, livestreams can play for a dozen seconds max now before buffering. Videos show the same issue though, starts buffering after 1 minute ish. Trying to get past the 1 minute mark by dragging the slider also buffers the video.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both YT Revanced and Manager to no avail. Same with disabling and re-enabling protobuf spoof.

Step 1. Play any video
Step 2. Video starts buffering after around 1 minute.
Step 3. Continues buffering until closing the video.
Step 4. Re-open video -> Step 2.

I can install revvanced following the kitadai31 patch

However, the ReVanced GmsCore and the old MicroG do not maintain the login after turning the device off and on again.

Could this bug be fixed on ReVanced GmsCore which uses android 7 32 bits?

Sorry for contacting you, this is the only time i do and will never bother you again. i just wished to ask if it will be anyhow possible to implement the "Disable Landscape Mode" patch by inotia00 for your android 6&7 version of revanced patches. "Disable Landscape Mode" is supported and works, i have tested it myself while inotia's official patches supported youtube versions 17.34.35 and 17.34.36 on revanced manager until a week ago. Thanks.

Motivation

My screen's touch sensors have been dying as well so it's why Disable Landscape Mode helps tremendously, by force enabling portrait mode in fullscreen instead of the default horizontal.

Hey fellas

The app has been working great for months. Today however the protobuf stopped working. I tried spoofing to 18.05 17.03 and 17.34 but none worked. They stop buffering after ~60s.

The bug is about the UI. It doesn't have the buttons at the bottom like Home, Shorts, (+), subscriptions and library. As I'm an Android user, I cannot provide screenshots by dragging and dropping.

I don't know exactly how to reproduce this bug but I can still try:-
What I did was:-
-I borrowed someone else's phone (Android 13),
-Went to Sources option, and everything mentioned in the guide,
-During Patching I selected all the 69 patches and clicked on patch button,
-In the logs, everything was applied successfully and no error was found,
-Then I exported the apk and send it to my Android 6 device and then installed it.

Bug description

I made the APK on my phone with Android 9.

I selected the default patches, which selected pretty much all of them IIRC.

I downloaded the patched APK onto my Nexus 7 (2013), Android 6.0.1

It installed successfully on the Nexus 7.

However, when I open it, the logo appears for 10 seconds, then the app closes.

I believe my Nexus is still rooted, and Magisk is installed.

Bug description

The default video speed does not work during replay. Enabling, changing and reloading does not change the default video replay speed.

Steps to reproduce

The default speed (set, for example, ×1.25) works ONLY/MOSTLY on new UNWATCHED videos. If the video was watched, even partially, and you start the video again to continue watching (replay only, not after paused), then the default speed (×1.25) is not turned on automatically, even if you changed it while watching and completely reloaded the application (removing it from the list of current applications) or completely rebooted the phone.
UPD: Also by experience of use it works even on unwatched videos 80% until you restart the app and/or phone. But also in 10% of cases it works on watched/paused videos. The problem is "floating", it is difficult to understand the pattern or dependence.
UPD2: If you start a 'video' immediately after the 'live' broadcast, the video will have a speed of ×1.00, but not your default speed.

I installed Revanced Extended on my device since it doesn't support the official Revanced and when I go to play a video the video plays but sponsored segments aren't shown in the bar and they don't get skipped.

I found they do appear if I idle on the SponsorBlock tab in settings until stats appears, which takes a long time.

Issue

There are no patches for this version of youtube 16.40.35(1523703232). The Vanced version was for the previous version 16.29.39. I could use it because of changing the version number to 16.40.35. However, Vanced is no longer available. Logging in with an account causes it to ask for an update. Original Youtube app downloaded from Playstore does not want to update. There is no problem in its working.

Just no ads will be enough for me to use in CLI I can't ask for more at this point. I've been using Vanced almost since it first came out. I don't know the difference with the original.

Motivation

I don't think too many people are using android 5 (sdk:21) right now. You may not want to patch for very few people. They said I should try requesting it here on Discord. I know there are alternative OpenSource youtube apps but they cannot be used with google account. People like me who can't get a new device or want to use their working device in some way will be really grateful.

Bug description

Using an older lenovo tablet that is x86_64 processor based, exact type: YB1-X90F, it is on android 7.1.1 (api 25 if I am right). The official youtube 17.34.36 release runs mostly fine (sometimes, rarely, it also freezes but not right upon launch).

Then vanced microg latest version was installed ( 0.2.27.231515 ), I also managed to set up the login inside this.

So once patches are applied (recommended, but I tried without the one theme patch removed - that I read somewhere could probably help, still same issue) and original youtube app uninstalled, revanced installed, app launches and immediately quits.

What could it be? Maybe the patcher does not patch the x64 library files? Can you suggest some ideas what I could look at?

Or maybe some patches that might effect the freeze?

Anyway where is the patched apk saved?

Good day, in version V2.160.9, the video freezes again after a minute of playback. whenever i swipe to action buttons menu (or browsing to recommended videos), the dislike counts disappear
it only reappears when i press the like button

plus, the dislike counts don't increase when i press it (unlike in official revanced)

it also happens when i watch shorts for a while then come back to the long-form video i was watching previously (includes making it fullscreen from picture in picture view, coming back from recent apps activity) though it does not happen very often to me

see the edited video where in the left area is the patched youtube using your revanced patches and on the right area is the patched youtube using official revanced patches

Steps to reproduce

1. go to any long-form video
2. swipe the action buttons left and right until the dislike count disappears (and browse through other recommended videos)
3. press the like (and dislike) button to make dislike counts appear again

The bug is based on the experimental design of the new interface for YouTube's recent Nougat update. The problem is that sometimes when I click on the description it freezes and there is an error that the application has stopped.
