I'm trying to import the package into my preload script with the following

import { contextBridge } from 'electron';
import { invokeIpcChannel, registerIpcChannel } from '@kjn/electron-typesafe-ipc';

export const getVersionIpcChannel = {
  name: 'GET_VERSION',
  handler: (): string => {
    return '1.0';

};

registerIpcChannel(getVersionIpcChannel);

I'm using the following BrowserWindow config:

    webPreferences: {
      contextIsolation: true,
      sandbox: false,
      nodeIntegration: true,
      preload: join(__dirname, '../preload/index.js'),
    },

I get:

No "exports" main defined in ... @kjn/electron-typesafe-ipc/package.json

I think it's something with the way you have exports defined in package.json that's causing the issue

As near as I can tell, this only supports IPC from render -> main. At the least, it should be explicitly stated that this is so. But at the most, it should support support the reverse as well.
