Kip, could you alter this line in your script as it will break other applications on the RPi::

sudo apt-get install python-setuptools python-pygame python-opengl python-gst0.10 python-enchant gstreamer0.10-plugins-good python-dev build-essential python-pip -y

I've just done a fresh, new raspbian install and the absence of the two mesa doesn't seem to have any impact on kivy (as per my post on the forum, the kivy source hard codes the locations of the required shared objects on the RPi)
