Does anyone know where I can find the source files for radial capacitor models (e.g. electrolytic caps)? I'd like to generate a 3D model that fits the actual height, but could not find the source files here.

Some research in the old kicad-library repo brought me to this PR, where the models were added. But it doesn't contain the CadQuery scripts used by @Shackmeister, as far as I can see.

Attached is a zip with the datasheet, the 3D diode (modeled by me under FreeCAD) and the footprint?

Hi 3D Modelers-

As part of the Great KiCad GitLab migration of 2019, I am testing the movement of open issues and PRs from GitHub to GitLab.

Here's what we know so far:

• Open Pull Requests will transfer to GitLab without moving the source of the PR. That means pull requests will become GitLab Merge Requests that are referenced to the user's GitHub repository
• Open Issues will transfer to GitLab issues
• Closed/Resolved PRs and Issues will also transfer

In order to facilitate the transfer, it will be helpful if you can do two things:

• Open a GitLab account (these can use your GitHub OAuth)
• Set your GitHub email to public
• Let me know who the responsible parties are for the repository

The second point is critical because the migration script will only link users whose e-mail addresses match. If the script can't see your GitHub e-mail address, the issue will be tied to the KiCad-Bot that performs the migration.

The timeline for the actual migration will be determined by the responsible parties from bullet 3 above but it would greatly assist my testing for bugs if you could do the first two steps above as soon as possible.

There exists both Sensor.3dshapes and Sensors.3dshapes directories. kicad-packages3D only contains Sensor.3dshapes.

Hi All-

I'd like to submit some revised files for the Pin Headers and Pin Connectors. Right now, for example, the PinHeader_2x40_P1.00mm_Horizontal.step takes 2.9MB. When I generate an equivalent model in SolidWorks, export to STEP and post-process, it is 91k.

I'd like to generate models for the full Connector set using the same toolpath but it does take a fair bit of work, so I'd like to check in with the maintainers on whether this would be worth doing or whether keeping the models in FreeCAD is worth the extra space. For reference, the 1.0mm PinHeader directory looks to be about 25MB when generated this way instead of the 346MB.

I'm attaching the 2x40 P1.0mm Horizontal STEP file below. I'd love any comments on things that need to be changed before this type of PR would be accepted.
