Close Unity Editor and copy manifest.json to the Packages directory, not the Assets directory.

@moebiussurfing You shouldn't use the zip download because it lacks submodules. It's recommended using Git to use the submodules correctly.

It should be automatically imported via the Package Manager.

Could you retry opening the project few more times? I suspect that the package server is down.

When opening the ' TestbedHDRP ' project, it loads and then goes system down(need reboot).

Is this a problem with package servers?

I suspect that there is another problem with your environment.

Could you check if you can create a project from the HDRP template?

i am having the same error. I just dragged the full folder to an empty project and opened some of the scenes

@moebiussurfing Just drag-and-dropping the full folder doesn't work. You also have to copy the package manifest file.

ok. but sorry I am very newbie... what I have to do with the manifest file? I dragged that file to the assets window... Also opened with VS 2017 but nothing changes... same errors

I created a new Unity project, dragged the zip repo folder. then I closed Unity and dragged the manifest file, but now I am getting the above other errors. I am on Windows 10 & Unity 2018.1.1f1 Personal 64bit
