xivbatterygauge's Issues

Steam Deck Incompatibility

It appears as though BatteryGauge is incompatible with the Steam Deck.

This incompatibility appears to be a upstream (Wine) bug. The code for Wine pulling in battery information is available here, but it only reads from AC and BAT0. The Steam Deck, however, only has the following:

(deck@steamdeck ~)$ ls /sys/class/power_supply/
ACAD BAT1

This bug will need to be fixed with Wine, brought into Proton/ProtonFixes, and then I will be able to look at getting BatteryGauge to work on the Steam Deck.

BatteryGauge display changed since update.

Hej!

Before the patch and subsequent update of this plug-in, the plug-in used to display the percentage and remaining time as ‘50% 2h20m’ as an example.
But after the update it shows as ‘Battery is discharging.Current percentage: 50%Remaining life: 2h 20m’

Is there a way to return the way it displays to the previous more concise form?

Thank you very much in advance!

Edit: I would like to add that when charging the steam deck, the text does show up in a concise manner. But upon removing the charging cable, it goes back to the more elaborate line of text.

Feature: Peripheral Gauges

Is your proposal related to a problem?

RGB is awful so without a separate device like a Streamdeck it can be hard to gauge device battery while being an elite gamer doing the hardest core raids.

Describe the solution you'd like

It would be nice if the plugin could tap into various peripheral apis if available for things like ghub/icue/bluetooth to get battery info of devices and have them shown in the server info bar.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Buying a streamdeck.

Additional context

Not sure GHub or iCue have apis which blows but if we could atleast get Bluetooth for controllers or mice/kb that would be sick. Thanks for the amazing plugin it lets me know my desktop battery is 100% ok.

FAQ: Feature Requests and Bug Reports

First and foremost, thank you for your interest in the Battery Gauge plugin! If you are here to either submit a bug report or open a feature request, please read through this Issue first.

Battery Gauge is designed to be a very simple plugin, and as such, is basically already feature-complete. While users are encouraged to make feature requests, I likely won't actually implement them. Bug reports, however, are fair game and I will do my best to fix any bugs that show up.

HOWEVER: If you are reporting things, please check through both the currently-open and closed Issues in GitHub first! It is likely that the thing you want to open a ticket about has already been done and/or discussed.
