Under Campus Parking and Shuttles:
University at Buffalo's fleet of buses and shuttles, known as the Stampede, is available to get around and between campuses quickly.
In the first paragraph of copy on the home page, change the following sentence:
For years, the "City of Good Neighbors" was known as a blue-collar, no bullshit town.
TO
For years, the "City of Good Neighbors" has been known as "a blue-collar, no-bullshit town."
This fixes the direct quote from the linked article. The change in verb tense also retains the meaning of the direct quote in the article.
Hey Francis...We received permission from Ian de Beer to include one of my photos of his "Keep Buffalo a Secret" mural on the site. I posted a Word version of his approval email message in the "image-permission-letters" sub-folder in Box. I also uploaded a folder with a half dozen or so photos of the mural. I think my preference is to use the one labeled IMG_2452.JPG, but I defer to your good judgment or to the the preference of our committee colleagues.
By the way---like everything you create--this site is lovely. Thanks! -Chris
Transportation finishing touches depends on the venue and hotels we select.
In the meantime, can we complete the small section below on the site:
"NFTA's Metro Rail provides a direct line from UB's South Campus to downtown Canalside. From metro stops, it's just a quick walk to many of Buffalo's entertainment and dining options. "

Move copy currently in the "About" anchor link section of page to a new page called "About" and update link in nav menu.
Can you make the following heading3?
University at Buffalo
Reception
Hotels
If we decide to keep the images in the carousel sliding off vertically, it makes little sense to have horizontally-oriented arrows in the image selector. These should be vertically oriented as well.
When the committee met today, we all agreed we'd prefer pages over anchor links with a horizontal tabbed navigation menu similar to what's at the top of the site now, but not anchor links, links to separate pages.
Thanks!
@kayiwa While looking for some boilerplate copy for the About page, I re-read our University Communications guidance on our branding, regarding names, and we should update the name of the hosting institution to:
University Libraries, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York
And keep the same embedded URL to the University Libraries website.
Delete the Heading 3 "Venues" because it repeats the title of the page.
Take copy/content from "Financials" anchor link section and move to new "Financials" page and update nav menu.
Reddy Bikeshare
Change text "NFTA buses ,and our metro rail line" to "and the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) Metro Bus & Rail"
Metro Bus & Rail
Change text "The Stampede" to "UB Stampede"
UB Stampede
Web copy for this page is in financials Box note.
In the second paragraph of copy on the home page, change:
emergedas
TO:
emerged as
The text at the bottom of the right column runs into the black footer.
(I am viewing the page on Chrome 80.0.3987.132 64-bit.)
change
no bullshit
to
no-bullshit
(This is to match the quote from the article.)
Append the second paragraph to the end of the first so there's no scroll to the bottom section. So just one paragraph instead of two.
Part of this merge entails also deleting the "Why Buffalo?" and "So many reasons!" headings from the page.
@kayiwa I don't know where the other images went since last week, but you had selected one of Chris' photographs of the de Beer mural and put it in the carousel. The attribution for that is:
Image credit: Keep Buffalo a Secret, mural by Ian de Beer. Used with permission. Photograph by Chris Hollister.
No links for this attribution. "Credit" should be lowercase.
Hi, Francis:
Can you add the target="_blank"
attribute to all links on the proposal site that lead to an external website?
Thanks!
Image credit: Main Street in Buffalo NY..., by David Wilson, licensed CC BY 2.0.
"credit" should be lowercase. All three embedded links need to have the "_blank" attribute.
Realized this copy no longer makes sense on a transportation-only page.

Delete the Buffalo city logo from the home page image carousel.
Add underneath the updated hosting institution name:

I'm just spit-balling this order; maybe the other committee members will comment.
The caption for the image carousel on the Why Buffalo page is flush with the viewport edge. This should be indented from the edge.
(I am viewing the page on Chrome 80.0.3987.132 64-bit.)
@kayiwa Got some clarification from our communications team about a few things...
Please change attribution on this page to:
Image credit: Douglas Levere, University at Buffalo, State University of New York
"credit" should be lowercase.
Need a line break between Reception and Subject in second paragraph of copy.
Delete aerial shot of Buffalo. Right now, it's the second image in the carousel.
@kayiwa You accidentally deleted the word "as" when you made the change.
...has been known as..
Take copy/content under Venues section of "How to get here, where to stay" anchor link section of home page and move to new "Venues" page. Headings on new "Venues" page are:
Update link in nav menu of site.
Web copy for this page available in venues Box note.

"credit" should be lowercase.
Attribution line should be placed beneath image on left.
Please add "_blank" attribute to all links.

For two photos in carousel:
@kayiwa I don't know where the other images went since last week's meeting, but you had selected one of Chris' photographs of the de Beer mural and put it in the carousel. The McKinley monument image is also gone, but you can get from the source link below in the attribution.
They are both in there. Or at least I'm seeing them. Do you mean they don't show for you at all?
