swoopy's Issues

Windows 10 support

This script does not work on Windows 10 64-bit and Chrome 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit)
I am getting the following error:

  File "Swoopy.py", line 23, in <module>
    pwd = win32crypt.CryptUnprotectData(pwd, None, None, None, 0) #This returns a tuple description and the password
pywintypes.error: (-2146893813, 'CryptProtectData', 'Key not valid for use in specified state.')

But script still works on Windows 7 32bit and latest chrome.

Ubuntu

Hi

I am unable to use in Ubuntu system
following error comes.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "Swoopy.py", line 3, in
import win32crypt
ImportError: No module named win32crypt

Thanks

Key not valid for use in specified state

OS: Windows 7 x64 (in a virtual machine)
Python: 2.7.15

Running Swoopy on a 'Login Data' file from a different computer results in the below error.
This is the same error as issue #1 , but after reading the entirety of that issue I am not aware of how to resolve this.

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "C:\Users\Test\code\Swoopy-master\Swoopy-master\Swoopy.py", line 23, in <module>
    pwd = win32crypt.CryptUnprotectData(pwd, None, None, None, 0) #This returns a tuple description and the password
error: (-2146893813, 'CryptProtectData', 'Key not valid for use in specified state.')

Does anyone know if there is a way to augment Swoopy so that it can work on a foreign 'Login Data' file (i.e. one captured from a previous computer)?

The credentials for the foreign Windows box are known, but I am unsure how to hard-code them into Swoopy to get past this error.

error line 6

hello,

when launching your script, i got this error :

File "g:\Google Drive\pw.py", line 6
data_path = os.path.expanduser('~') + "\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default"
^
SyntaxError: (unicode error) 'unicodeescape' codec can't decode bytes in position 28-29: truncated \UXXXXXXXX escape

any idea ?
(using windows 10 and python 3.x)
