crowd-summary's Issues

returning to an already made summary

@bouke-nederstigt

Problem: when returning to an already made summary, no sentences are highlighted. In other words: to the user it looks like his summary will not be saved.

Possible point of trouble: the sentences highlighted by the user don't get a ranking value in the database. They should get the ranking value one. I think this will solve the problem but im not sure...

login page should be different

when selecting "documents" from the top of the home page, the application presentes an ugly login form which doesn't work because the user should login at the top of the page. My suggestion is to remove the ugly login form

Max execution time of script

@MBrouns It seems the stanford classifier takes a bit more time. Should the script still wait for a response? and if so what should the max execution time be. 30s doesn't seem to cut it anymore.

Improvements to Keywords

Defining Climate Change has top keywords " climate, change, e, ".
There should be a minimum length for keywords and common words ("more") should also be filtered.

presenting text to users need fix

@fabcouwer When presenting the text to users, the summarizer present a sentence from the sentences table followed up with an enter, and so on. It would be nice if the summarizer only use an enter when there is an enter in the original text

Presentation: Status messages & Currently logged in

Two suggestions for presentation:

  • Present the status messages ("successfully logged in") in a more attractive way
  • On the top right of the screen, show the username of the currently logged in user. "Logged in as karensg - sign out"

No. of Contributors

Currently this column is empty and as far as I know not tracked. We should add this functionality or remove the column from the document overview.

Highlighted sentences to db

saving a summary without notes

@yetti4 when trying to save a personal summary without notes, the application gives the following error: "notes could not be saved"

remove highlighs needs fix

when pressing the "remove highlight" button, only whole sentences will be removed. When there is just a part of the sentence selected, this highlighted part will not be removed.

Notes queries

Generated summary: all notes
Personal summary only own notes
