I just installed the latest Rain and Engima. I cannot get the calendar to work. I went to smurfier's site and loaded the latest calendar from him and it works, but the one that came with enigma does not. Just blank.

Notice the top calendar is fine, but the bottom of the sidebar is a blank calendar.

Possible bug, possible retardation of me.

Update time of Reader Facebook

Hello, my Facebook reader seems to update late. i mean when i have notifications the reader doesn't update is there anyway i can change the time seconds/minute before my facebook feed update? i don't see any options in the Facebook.ini

Thank you so much.

World: times off by 1 hour (STILL)

Here you said, The "DaylightSavingTime=1" option was accidentally left on the World skins' time measures. The new location provider returns the correct local GMT offset for all codes, so the DaylightSavingTime setting should not be used.

You said it was fixed in the latest release. However, I updated to the latest release and it is still not fixed.

Moon: images broken.

This fix is available in the latest release.

The icon images in the Moon skin were named with leading zeroes (00, 01, 02, etc.). The skin code was recently changed in a way that made the skin look for image names without leading zeroes (0, 1, 2, etc.), which breaks the skin.

Can't install

Error message says
"Invalid settings file in: ....\enigma_by_kaelri-d1ptasn (1).rmskin"
not sure what is happening but i would love to use some of the skins in this :/

Formatting Options - won't change back?

In that section, the place where you can change your icon button color? I clicked on it once to try it out and they went white. Clicked it again and it still didn't go back to black. I already rebooted my laptop as well. Is there something I should do to reverse what I did?

Switcher Not Working

The switcher is not working on my clean install.
The only time it works is in Reader.ini when I delete all of the feed addresses.

RTM Feed not Showing

First issue:
The RTM feed seems to be stuck at the ff. error message:

Loading... Waiting for data from WebParser

I've double checked my information and made sure I entered the right 7-digit ID for the feeds.

News and feeds are squished?

The text is squished so I can barely make stuff out:

There is a picture of it. Even though I change my text size or font or anything, it keeps doing that.

Any help? =/

Options: cannot set paths for Launchers 4 and 5.

This fix is available in the latest release.

I couldn't find a solution anywhere else, so I thought I'd post this here.

I just upgraded to Rainmeter 2.4 beta and then Enigma 4. Before this, I had no trouble altering the launcher paths. Simply copy/paste the ones I wanted (2 folders and 3 programs). Now it won't let me alter them. I copy/paste, hit enter and it reverts back to the preset one. I've tried restarting Rainmeter and my computer, re-installing Rainmeter and Enigma, but nothing seems to work.

This kinda seems like a silly problem and I might just be doing something wrong or overlooking something. Maybe not helpful, but here's a screenshot.

Look at the 4th Launcher:

I was able to change the name, label and icon, but not the location.

I really appreciate your time and help! Thank you!

Gmail icon no longer working

I started using Rainmeter only yesterday, but already, I have a problem. I'm using the Gmail taskbar icon, but it's no longer giving me notifications, and clicking it takes me to the Enigma support page instead of my inbox. This has somehow happened overnight, since it was working fine when I went to bed last night, and now it isn't. I haven't changed any settings (Aside from reentering my username and password and unloading/reloading the skin to try and get it to work again), and looking at the .ini file provided no insight. As a side note, switching to any of the other variations doesn't fix the issue, and I've tried that already.

Can anyone help with this? I looked at the other threads regarding gmail issues, and can confirm that I do NOT have 2-step verification enabled, so that's not the problem.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

superantispyware scan identifies findwoeid.exe and rainfile.exe as threats

not sure if I should report it here or not, but super anti spyware has flagged the above files (findwoeid.exe and rainfile.exe) as trojan.agent/gen-autorun

i've already scanned with MSE, spybot s&d, malwarebytes and none of them reported anything. only superantispyware flagged those exes

already reported as a false positive to superantispyware, just thought I'd let you know.

saswscan

Double-clicking on the "Search1" extra installs trojan virus: Php/Shell-G - caught by my antivirus.

I don't have any other things installed, no extras, just Enigma. Directly clicking on the blank "Search" icon (the one from Enigma > Taskbar > Search > Search1) opened Google and attempted to automatically install the trojan virus called Php/Shell-G which attempted to compromise my system.

Please fix it immediately for other users. Fortunately my antivirus caught the virus before it was able to harm my computer.

Calendar: breaks on events file.

This fix is available in the latest release.

Script: Calendar.lua:194: attempt to perform arithmetic on global 'iStartDay' (a nil value)

It appears that all users are affected.

6:25pm EDT: I think it's related to the call to Vars() on 122. The call on 120 does not fail. I have verified this with a successful print() message on 121.

6:33pm EDT: The event.day being passed on 122 may be invalid. print(event.day) gives me {FirstMon} in the log.

6:47pm EDT: The issue is definitely related to the event file system. Showing any month with a non-numeric day tag - e.g. {SecondMon} or {FourthThu} - fails. Disabling "Show Events" eliminates the error. We probably didn't notice this before releasing v4 because the last such event in the default calendar was in June.

(I'll update this post as I go.)

Process sidebar skin not working

As the title states, my process skin is not working. Do I have to customize it? I am including a screenshot. It loads just fine, but doesn't load any processes. Unfortunately, I don't know enough to look around the file and tweak it. Plus, it is a long file.

Can't Get Gmail Notifications (Gmail with Custom Domain)

When setting up Gmail notifications using my primary account ([email protected]), I couldn't get it to work. Clicking the icon takes me to an Enigma support page.

However, if I use one of my other generic email accounts ([email protected]), it works, and clicking the icon takes me to my Gmail page.

I'm not sure if this is an issue/limitation or if I'm missing something, but I'd like to be able to use my primary email.

Can't change options

I recently downloaded enigma and when i try to change anything in anny of the options fields (weather zone, gmail user and password) as soon as i clik anywhere else it reverts to its default or previous state, without changing anything, how can i change tha?

thanks for the help and for developing such great theme for rainmeter.

Network: IP address clipped.

This fix is available in the latest release.

In Sidebar\Network, the IP address meters are fixed to a width of 75 pixels. This is too small to contain some addresses, resulting in clipping.

[Customization] Removing Aero Blur

Hello Everyone,

I just want to ask about my problem i am having a problem on Enigma the Latest Version 4, As you can see on my title i think its Blur or Transparency Problem. When i open a Full Screen program like Warcraft III / Counter Strike / Dota 2. ETC my enigma Sidebar1/Sidebar2/Taskbar are messed up they become blurry or some type of Transparency Problem.

Please help me with this because on the older version i fixed it. When i see on the Options that there is a Blur=1 then i change it to 0 Like:

[Rainmeter]
Author=GHOST®
AppVersion=2000000
BackGroundMode=3
Update=1
Blur=1

But on the latest version there's no option like that even when i add the Blur=0 on the options in the latest enigma it won't work. Its really messy.

"Processes" doesn't hide the groups

The "Processes" in the sidebar should hide the unused processes (0%) but on my System there are always 8 processes shown all with 0% idle...
I've read the ini file and i just understand it just like i said now... Is this a real problem or do i just missunderstand this feature?

Problem with Weather Code

Hello.

I'm currently having some issues with the weather code finder.

I try to search for my location, New Castle, DE, but every time I hit enter to submit it, it just goes back to having the default "London" in the search bar.

Can anyone help?

Calendars not Loading?

So I was playing around with the Format options, trying to decide exactly how I wanted my layout to look. As soon as I clicked on "Yes" after "Sidebar Borders", the word "yes" disappeared and everything on my screen that needs to be loaded, such as GCal, Gmail, Calendar, Notes and RSS feeds now say weird things and refuse to load back up, even when pressing "Refresh Skin" or changing to a different skin and back.

I have uploaded a screenshot here: http://sta.sh/01j424okvdwa

Recycler Icon Cannot be gotten rid of...

So I keep trying to unload the two Recycler icons I now have on my desktop but it says none are loaded. I tried refreshing all skins, but nothing happens it still says none of the Recycler icons are loaded. Please help.

How to add pathhandle

Hello. I have a problem in adding Apps.I traced and copy all thing regarding APPS and I have successfully added 3 APPS but have a tiny problem. The thing is I can't trace back the App#PathHandle of every AppPath. If I am not mistaken, it the one responsible if the program is active in the process or not. Therefore, the additional Apps that I created won't show if the program is dissabled or not. The only way I can do it is by manually editing the Options.inc. Sorry, I may not have permission to do these things but can you help me, please?

Sidebar height won't set correctly.

I'm using an alternate shell (emerge) to remove the start bar from my system.
I have the sidebar spacing set to "no" so it should be full height, but it's sitting above the baseline of the monitor anyway.

Can't hardcode it to correct and can't seem to make it resize (even on refresh)

Screenshot - http://puu.sh/1EvgL

Edit: Changing padding within emerge fixed the issue.

Can't get Gmail Notifications

Sidebar and Taskbar Gmail Notifications in Enigma are not notifying me about new email. I have Rainmeter 2.5 but it also did not work in Rainmeter 2.4 . Even after restarting the application i have the same problem. But i think it has something to do with Google cause when i give this in my browser https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom i can't log in, even if my username and password is correct.

My Sidebar Gmail: Loading ..Waiting for data from Webstarter
My Taskbar Gmail App :Does not inform me about new email from Gmail.

Is there a workaround ?
Thank you.

World: times off by 1 hour.

This fix is available in the latest release.

The "DaylightSavingTime=1" option was accidentally left on the World skins' time measures. The new location provider returns the correct local GMT offset for all codes, so the DaylightSavingTime setting should not be used.

Dropbox Sync Override on Windows Startup

I have Dropbox installed on multiple computers to the default Window's "User / My Documents / Dropbox" location as well as Rainmeter installed in the default location with all Enigma files located inside of the Dropbox folder to allow for syncing of settings and Notes applications.

Both Dropbox and Rainmeter are set to run on startup. If Rainmeter loads before Dropbox is able to fully sync then Rainmeter will load the outdated local files and Dropbox will see them as 'new' files and sync the 'new'/outdated files to all computers; effectively overriding any changes made on other computers.

If you have any questions, or need a copy of any of my files feel free to contact me at: [email protected]

Thank you,
Ean Newton

To reproduce:

  1. Install Enigma to a Dropbox folder on multiple computers.
  2. Set both Rainmeter and Dropbox to load on startup.
  3. Edit any file(s) on one computer. Note: May require a significant change, however in my case I simply changed the position of the taskbar and edited one of the Notes applications files located in @Resources/Notes.
  4. Turn on other computer.
  5. While Dropbox is syncing Rainmeter will most likely finish loading and display the last edited local files.
  6. Dropbox will now see these local files as unsynced and load them to its server.

Gmail feed

Works properly, then when I middle click it gives the "Invalid Feed Format". Could be something I'm doing wrong. Not sure.

To fix it, I need to edit my Gmail username to something that's wrong and replace it with correct one which I had in the first place.

Okay, different problem actually. When I put in the actual Gmail username and hit enter, it displays the error. But then when I put in something that's wrong it displays the email. I was refreshing with the wrong email.

Taskbar & Sidebar: do not resize on multiple monitors.

I run a dual monitor setup, with dissimilar resolutions (1680x1050/1920x1080).

I currently have Enigma running on the second monitor (1920x1080). All of Enigma's components are set to display on that monitor, but sometimes the Taskbars (top and bottom) reset to the primary monitor's (1680x1050) width. If I open up the Taskbar's skin and pick the second monitor, which is still selected they resize.

Maybe allow us to hardcode the width if necessary? I looked through the ini/inc and...ya...I can't figure that stuff out.

EDIT:

Rainmeter 2.4.0 (r1634)
Enigma: Version: 4 (Patch 1)

Google Calendar: breaks on all-day events.

This fix is available in the latest release.

Google has changed the "full" private XML feed, again, to change the date format for all-day events. A complete timestamp is no longer provided, which breaks the matching pattern in Reader.

The solution is to detect which type of timestamp is given, and supply default values (i.e. "0") for missing fields. In the long run, it would be nice to set a variable to indicate an all-day event so that the skin doesn't display "12:00 AM" as the time. But I'd like to do this in a way that will mesh with my plan to add date-parsing and formatting for all feed types, which will take further planning.

Weather Code Selector not working

When I go to the weather code finder and type in my home city, it doesn't register it (i.e. when I press enter it reverts to what it was before) and the search list doesn't change from the various Londons worldwide.

Can't install skin.

I tried every thing but I still get this error message. I am running Windows 8 64bit edition on a MacBook Pro. I am using boot camp. I don't know if this matters, but, I have 8gig of DDR3 ram with a Intel core i7 prosesser with 2.8 gigahertz.

Facebook Feed: Get "clickable" again?

I accidentally clicked on the option to make the Facebook Feed "click through". Now I cannot click it, not select it, move it ... nothing basically! I can still disable it via the menu but when I enable it again, it's still not clickable. Basically, it's like it's not even there.
How do I make it "clickable" again? I tried, but since you need to be able to select it to edit it, I don't see how.
Please help :(
